Saarburg Rausch Riesling Spätlese
Vintage: 2014
AP. No.: 4-15
Soil: Devonian slate and diabase
Harvest Method: 100% hand-picked
Origin of Grapes: 100% estate grown
Vinification: 100% in neutral Fuder barrels
Tasting Notes:
There is no known antidote for the charms of sumptuous tropical fruits and peach purée. Sultry, smoky and sleek, this is Saar Riesling at its best. Juicy flavors of candied pineapple and lemon segue into a refined, slate-laced minerality and a long, lingering finish.
Serving Suggestions:
Will charm as the companion to any number of classic fruit-based desserts. My favorite: strawberry rhubarb pie.
