Tasting Notes:

Delicate white lilacs and peach blossoms, orange fruit and apricot cake lead into a palate nuanced with just the right amount of spicy sass and mint. Taut acidity and deep, cool grapefruit and lime flavors underpinned by the smoky minerality for which the Saar is renowned. A pleasant, drying astringency on the finish tightens the wine into a single, balanced whole. A Riesling to sip and savor, with the inner poise to quiet a restless mind. Drinking beautifully now, but a bit of time in the bottle will take it to another level.

Serving Suggestions:

Minimalist fare will highlight the clean lines of this lithe beauty: chilled appetizers, cucumber gazpacho or smoked trout.
