Tasting Notes:

Steep slopes and old vines ranging from 50-130 years in age deliver a dry Riesling with the austerity, discipline and devotion of a newly ordained monk. Supreme clarity and elegance; a fine apricot fruitiness and savory herbal accents of mint and verbena surround a steely acidic core. Deep blue slate minerality with a lingering saline finish. Close your eyes and indulge in the silent glory of this little brother to our Grosses Gewächs. While lovely now, a few more years cellaring will prove well worth the devotion.

Serving Suggestions:

A serious wine for serious fare: arctic char, or a lobster cocktail.
