THE YEAR

Once again, we could rely on our old vines during the warm summer.
On the skeleton-rich, slatey soil of the steep slopes, they are
accustomed to having meager access to superficial water.
As a result, their roots penetrate to profound depths, discovering ample moisture below.
As we hold the sundrenched summer of 2022 in high regard, we also found
cause for elation in the showers that graced us in early September, bestowing our vines with an additional impetus,
and in turn, bestowing upon the grapes a beautiful ripeness.

On the 26th of September, we embarked upon the grape harvest.
Owing to the cool nights during the harvest, the grapes retained an abundance of freshness,
yielding particularly luscious and refined Kabinett wines.
Thanks to our great team, we also succeeded in harvesting, among other
selections, two VDP.GROSSE GEWÄCHSE® wines.

THE WINES

The wines of the 2022 vintage are already presenting themselves with remarkable accessibility, imparting great delight.
Despite their full expressiveness, these wines remain almost weightless.
Thus, the elegant and multifaceted Rieslings from the Saar region bestow upon us a grand indulgence.
