Rausch Riesling Kabinett

Tasting Notes:

Delicate aromas of tropical and orchard fruit, white peach, ripe green
apple, mango, and pineapple are underscored with an elegant layer
of slate smoke. Juicy on the palate, with a lively acidity and discreet
herbal thread. But make no mistake, the full power of the Rausch
vineyard is on display in the quiet opulence, deep minerality, and
lingering attitude of this single site Riesling.

Pairing recommendations:

An ideal pairing with intense flavors such as air-cured meats or
the umami of Bottarga; the saline kiss of fresh crab or tuna; or a
range of Szechuan fare.

Residual Sugar: 59,0 g/l
Total Acidity: 9,0 g/l

What the others say:

Mosel Fine Wines, tasted in July 2022:

"The 2021er Saarburger Rausch Riesling Kabinett is a fruity-styled wine with a beautiful nose made of cassis, vineyard peach, mint, dill, elderflower, whipped cream, smoke, chalky elements, and fine peppery notes. The wine proves stunningly playful and elegant on the palate, where a touch of almost Spätlese creaminess is beautifully lifted up by some zesty acidity. The wine proves playful
and subtle right into the long and refined finish. The aftertaste combines riper elements of pear and apricot blossom with fresher notes of mint, zesty acidity, and white peach. 2031-2051"
