Tasting Notes:

The creme de la creme, interpreting the steep, grey slate soils of the Rausch through the striking prism of the 2017 vintage, where virtually each berry was individually selected. It doesn’t get any more handpicked than this.

Unmistakable slate aromatics are on full display, layered with rose petals, summer flowers, and delicate accents of orange zest and lemon balm. Smoky, stony and elegant brilliance. Despite its juicy apricot youth, it shows remarkable restraint and balance as it crosses the palate with the grace, skill and speed of a figure skater’s closing spins on the ice. A whirlwind of cool, dizzying aromas, flavors, and textures.

A rich and beautiful future certainly lies ahead, so we implore you to let it sleep for as long as you can stay away.

Serving Suggestions:

Rich complexity and restraint make this a perennial favorite with a carefully curated cheese plate, or fine dessert, Normandy baked apple with cream and caramel.
