Tasting Notes:

A special off-dry wine of the Rausch vineyard made only in special vintages. The volcanic basalt rock for which the wine is named lends it a deep, distinctive minerality and radiance. Aromas of candied lemon and pink grapefruit are interwoven with black currant and wet, dark stone. A supple tropical fruitiness develops on the medium-bodied palate reminiscent of pineapple, coconut and cream before strolling hand-in-hand into a vivid sunset of lime and spice. The slightly higher residual sugar is felt more as substance than sweetness, enhancing an inner brilliance from start to finish. A cellar treasure worth holding onto: 2022 - 2045.G.

Serving Suggestions:

A stunning complement with scallops, roasted duck, Indian curries.
